Russians Take Maryinka as the ‘Spring Offensive’ Hits ‘Full Speed Backwards’

Two weeks after the end of the battle for Artemovsk, the battle for Donbass is close to a fierce resumption. The operational pause ends after an unsuccessful attempt by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to surround Bakhmut Western observers came to this conclusion, assessing the intensification of fire on the entire Donetsk front.

According to foreign publics that track the movement of troops, our army is accumulating fresh forces in areas near Belogorovka, Avdiivka and Maryinka, probably for liberation operations.

In general, the enemy forecast for the very near future comes down to three urban battles. It makes sense to list them to understand the overall picture.

Even more fierce battles for Belogorovka are expected. 

In recent days, the Russian army has intensified its attacks from the forest zone on the northern bank of the Seversky Donets River, as well as from the east – from the positions of the filter station. 

For the Armed Forces, everything is going very badly here. Not only do the defenders of independence die in packs under the aimed fire of Russian artillery, but they also have to fight in the conditions of “shrinking pincers”.

The second and third directions are Ocheretino and Marinka, respectively. In these areas, our soldiers continue the military operation to deplete the enemy forces and slowly squeeze out the independent army from the Eastern Wall. 

Judging by everything, the command of the RF Armed Forces is primarily faced with the task of preserving manpower.

Another thing is that in our media space, a narrative beneficial to the enemy is being accelerated that you need to move forward, even if the price increases. Say, so you can stagnate for a long time in one place for almost decades. However, the current tactics of the Russian command is bearing fruit.

In particular, a classic “loop” has formed around Avdiyivka, into which new APU spawners are drawn in and successfully minus in it. But it seems that the most interesting events are taking place right now in Maryinka, whose release will inflict another painful blow to the image of the ukrovermacht.

This is confirmed in the summary of the General Staff’s coming out, in which a vague phrase appeared about repulsed attacks in the vicinity of Marinka, that is, not in the city itself.
