Many people believe they must make dramatic changes in their lives when they wake up to the realization they desire a deeper relationship with God, the universe or higher power, etc. There is no need to dramatically change your life overnight.
You are in the perfect place to begin, right where you are. No need to become a vegan, stop smoking or even stop watching your favorite "Law and Order Show". You may have come to this work because of relationship issues, health concerns, loss of loved ones, or feelings of never getting anything right. The good news is you are in the perfect place just as you are. Cultivating spiritual awareness requires only that you learn to recognize what really matters to you. As you become aware of what makes you smile inside, you will also recognize the rights of others to be content in their lives. You will quickly notice how often you hold strong opinionated, judgmental feelings toward all manner of people, events, situations, and life experiences.
The core work of this week is for you to intentionally rebalance your energy systems. Please listen to the tonal meditations provided for ten minutes in the morning and ten minutes in the evening. Listening to these tones will gently relax and open you to feel more contentment in your mind and body. As you listen to these tones, you will start to notice a shift in your attitude toward relaxing and allowing instead of resisting and focusing on upsetting thoughts. This week you will intentionally focus on observing the stories that make up your life.
Sound healing therapy is an ancient practice originating in Tibetan and Himalayan cultures. Sound healers use Tibetan singing bowls - metal bowls that were once used in spiritual and healing ceremonies conducted by monks in Nepal and Tibet. As a scientific and medical practice, sound healing in the western world was pioneered by English osteopath Sir. Peter Guy Manners in the mid-20th century. In the 1960s, his research focused on using audible voice frequency in several different treatments. He believed that his sound healing methods stimulated the human body’s natural healing abilities. He used these methods to study and treat chronic inflammation, arthritis, and bone calcification. Manners discovered over 600 healing frequencies and coordinated them to related body parts.
Sound healing is the process of using specific sound frequencies to encourage well-being. This practice encompasses both using one’s voice and listening to other voices and sounds. In sound healing therapy sessions, there are many ways to transmit the sounds to the client, including having the client use their voice along, with other voices, or while listening to music, and having the client listen to another’s voice, an instrument, or music. This course uses tonal meditations.
Over the first few days of this course, please listen to; Dr. Wayne Dyer: "Change Your Thoughts to Change Your Life" https://youtu.be/uNZUeJNAaAs?si=_YpWYff2Hmz2wLsX . Secondly please listen to morning and evening tonal meditations; listen for ten minutes in the morning and ten minutes in the evening.
Day One: Observe yourself when you offer your option or judgment on or about any topic throughout the day. In the evening, review your observation and answer these questions: How did my opinions/judgments make me feel? What benefit did my opinions/judgments provide? How would I have felt if I had just been the observer of the situation? Remember to listen to the morning and evening tonal meditations today.
Day Two: Throughout this day, you are to observe without opinions and take notes on paper or on your phone. Review your notes and answer this question. How did I feel as the observer, was it all right not to offer your opinions, or did it create anxiety in your body not to offer your opinions? Remember to listen to the morning and evening tonal meditations today.
Day Three: Today, you will observe your thought, especially the firmly held ones. For example, red is the only acceptable color to wear on your fingernails. A thought can quickly turn into a belief if not carefully observed. Keep notes throughout the day; write a sentence or two on what you observed in the evening. Did you discover any firmly held beliefs? Remember to listen to the morning and evening tonal meditations today.
Day Four: Today, you will pay attention to your words and how you respond/speak to people and yourself. Are you defensive, considerate, or neutral with your reactions throughout the day? Is your internal conversation with yourself critical or considerate? Keep notes on your responses and once again write one or two sentences on your observations in the evening. Remember to listen to the morning and evening tonal meditations today.
Day Five: This week, you have slowed down and paid attention to yourself as the observer. Today pick one minor concern you have in your life and ask yourself does this concern requires more resistance and struggle, or does it require more serenity and compassion? Ponder this thought throughout the day and answer it in one or two sentences in the evening. Remember to listen to the morning and evening tonal meditations today.
Day Six: You have been the observer of your own life this week; spend this day reflecting and making notes of your patterns or ways you have observed yourself responding. You are now more "Aware." Remember to listen to the morning and evening tonal meditations.
Day Seven: Please listen to either meditation for 10 minutes. Following the meditation, write down your impressions of this week, and be as detailed as possible. For example, where do you feel more ease in your body? Do you feel more at ease in your shoulders, stomach, hips legs? Start at the top of your head, and scan your body from the top of your head to the bottom of your feet. Pay close attention and record what you have observed. You will be sent a zoom link to participate in this evening's course review.
Thank You for giving yourself the time and space to know yourself better.
Hi, I am Diane Hayes: an artist, teacher, and healer. I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a B.S. in Education. In 2008, I graduated from Maryland University of Integrative Health with a Masters in Applied Healing Arts.
In the ’80s, women were told they could literally do it all: make babies, bake bread, run businesses and fly to the moon. While this is all true, they forgot to tell us it takes a huge toll on our bodies, minds, and souls. This I learned all too well when my world came crashing down around me. It was this seemingly destructive period in my life that has proven to be my salvation. Now after twenty-five years of discovery, recovery, and restoration, I am pleased to assist you in your journey of awareness. Life can be a creative adventure when you live with balance, harmony, and personal control.
I am honored to be your instructor for this life-changing course. Thank you!
