Certainly love letters from the Father, who ...
Heb 1:2 has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds;
After His baptism by John, Yeshua was led into the wilderness by the Spirit. After 40 days and 40 nights of fasting the Devil tempted him to do a miracle and change stones into bread. He may well have felt like his body would die, if it did not get food. But he answered the Devil ...
Mat 4:4 "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God'"
Wow! How well are you and I doing?
Frankly, I am somewhat ashamed as I look back, and consider how many things I have asked of God, all to satisfy my own flesh.
Does this mean, I cannot ask God to supply my daily needs, like food?" Certainly that is not so, for Yeshua himself taught us to pray "Give us this day our daily bread."
But listen to what the Devil said: "If you are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread."
Just before, at his baptism, Yeshua heard God declaring His sonship. So now the devil says to Yeshua. Here is a good time to prove to yourself that what God has told you is true, by doing a miracle. It is after all something that you desperately need now! But Yeshua sees this for what it is. A temptation.
Yeshua remembered that this is what the Devil had done with Eve in the Garden. "Did God say ...? The Devil knows that doubting God's word is not to live by faith in God's Word and that "without faith, it is impossible to please God". (Heb 11:6) It was extremely important that Yeshua did not doubt what God had 40 days earlier said at His baptism.
Mat 3:17 And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."
Fortunately, Yeshua says "Mat 4:4 "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God'"" and overcomes the temptation. He did not question what His Father had said. Do you and I questions what he has written of us?
We must trust the words we have read in scripture regarding us who believe. We must live by every word that proceeds from His mouth . And follow Yeshua, who has taught us to respond to temptation with the Word of God.
But how shall we do that, if we do not read and meditate on His word? Let us not be foolish virgins and not be ready on that day. We must have enough Word in us to stand strong then and in these days of great deception!

I want to make clear that I do not see myself as a teacher, but rather as one encouraging you to study. Nor do I claim to be infallible in the scriptures that I comment on. I do my best to study to show myself approved, as scripture requires of us all, and when I find something I feel worthy of sharing, I seek His help, and do my best to share His Word with you. But please test everything.
Scripture teaches that Yeshua, our Messiah and Saviour is our true Rabbi / Teacher. When we study, we should look to Him, What a privilege to have the WORD made flesh, as our teacher.
I encourage you to do this same. Share what you can with others. HIS WORD WILL NEVER RETURN VOID.
In His love
