COME LET US GO UP

Come let us go up to the mountain of YHWH To the house of the God of Jacob
He will teach us His ways
And we shall walk in His paths

For out of Zion
The Law shall go forth
And the word of YHWH
From Yarushalaim
He shall judge between many peoples
And rebuke strong nations from afar off

And they shall beat their swords into plowshares
And their spears into pruning hooks
Nations shall not lift sword against nation Neither shall they learn war anymore
(Repeat)

A THOUGHT ON SUKKOT
It is the custom of many during the feast of Sukkot, to invite others to eat in their temporary dwellings. I give more background about this feast later, but let me ask you up front:

Have you ever considered this?

Who would one generally ask to join one around a Sukkot or any festive table for that matter?  There may be a stranger or two, but for the most part, would it not be those whom one knows and is comfortable with and sees as personal friends.

It is worth considering this. Is the Elohim who made us in his image that different? When he invites people to his table, to live / tabernacle / dwell with him forever, will your name be on His list. Yahushua (Jesus) had twelve close friends at his Last Supper", one of whom was, in His words, a "Devil". The question we all need to ask is: Will our name be on His list?  (In the "Book of Life?) Will he see you as a friend. One whom He knows and and is familiar with, because your relationship was one of mutual love and seeking in this life? It is devastatingly sad, but true, that many who consider themselves "believers" today, will on that day, (the day of His wedding feast) hear these words from the one they considered as their saviour:

"A thought on Sukkot"

Matthew 7:21-23 NKJV “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. [22] Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ [23] And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

SOME BACKGROUND TO THIS FEAST
It is the custom of many during the 8 day feast of Sukkot, to invite others to eat in their temporary dwellings. It is a festive and happy time, when all native born Israelites are commanded to dwell in a sukkah and to rejoice. For Judah or Jews, they particularly remember, when coming out of Egypt,  their ancestors  were wandering in the wilderness, living in such temporary dwellings, on their way to the promised land. However, tragically an entire generation died in the wilderness. But for those, both Jew and Gentile who identify with the Messiah of Israel, as having already come, it has future significance. The promised Messiah will come again, make all things good and He Elohiym will tabernacle with men in His millennial kingdom in the promised land. "Thy kingdom come on earth, as it is in heaven", will then be a reality. According to Ezekiel the prophet, both Northern and Southern Kingdoms of Israel, once united under King David, will at that time again be united, never to be divided again.
