PROVERBS 25 1-13
Pro 25:1 These also are proverbs of Solomon which the men of Hezekiah king of Judah copied:
Pro 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, But the glory of kings is to search out a matter.
Pro 25:3 As the heavens for height and the earth for depth, So the heart of kings is unsearchable.
Pro 25:4 Take away the dross from silver, And it will go to the silversmith for jewelry.
Pro 25:5 Take away the wicked from before the king, And his throne will be established in righteousness.
Pro 25:6 Do not exalt yourself in the presence of the king, And do not stand in the place of the great;
Pro 25:7 For it is better that he say to you, "Come up here," Than that you should be put lower in the presence of the prince, Whom your eyes have seen.
Pro 25:8 Do not go hastily to court; For what will you do in the end, When your neighbor has put you to shame?
Pro 25:9 Debate your case with your neighbor, And do not disclose the secret to another;

Pro 25:10 Lest he who hears it expose your shame, And your reputation be ruined.
Pro 25:11 A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold In settings of silver.
Pro 25:12 Like an earring of gold and an ornament of fine gold Is a wise rebuker to an obedient ear.
Pro 25:13 Like the cold of snow in time of harvest Is a faithful messenger to those who send him, For he refreshes the soul of his masters.
While the Proverbs above speak a lot about Kings, we must not forget that behind these scriptures is the King of Kings. Is he not concealing things in His word for us to search out?
Are His thoughts not unsearchable and yet he reveals much to us through His word.
We may be in for suffering in the years ahead. And for some that is already a great reality. We must keep our eyes on the prize. Silver goes through a process we are told here, to remove the dross. But then it will be used for jewelry. Will he not refine us for His glory?
Who likes the cold of snow, in time of harvest? Not many, but the faithful messenger, refreshes those who send him, (maybe even the King of Kings is refershed, by such a one, as with Phineas who stopped a plague on Israel). Even when he brings rebuke that is not easily received, such a rebuke can be like apples of gold in settings of sliver. We should not be quick to pull away from such, butm in humility, have an obedient ear, to hear what our Father would say to us through them. Oh what reward will them be ours, when we submit to His wisdom.
Apples of Gold in settings of Silver.
Be blessed in Him
